>> we turn now to a terrifying story out of the north atlantic tonight where a submarine that takes tourists around the wreckage of the titanic has been missing for over a day. five people reportedly on board. a very old matt finn has the very latest. >> matt, sad story. any update on this? well, sean, right now the united states and canadian guards are searching for that missing sub in the atlantic ocean at a depth of about two and a half miles down. the pressure there is up to £6,000 per square inch. the u.s. guard says the sub went missing in a remote area about hundred miles east of cape cod near the titanic wreckage. the coast guard says it has deployed airplanes, ships, buoys, and it's also relying on commercial boats. rescuers are using radar and sonar technology trying to spot the sub while listening for sounds underwater. the search began when the sub

was reported missing about one hour and 40 minutes after it submerged a few hundred miles off the coast of canada. the sub is a part of ocean gate expeditions, a company that provides staffed submarines, exploration research and tours. and within the past few minutes. ocean gate confirmed to fox news the sub was trying visit the titanic wreck site. the coast guard is not identifying exactly who was on board that missing sub. it has one commander and four other people. the sub is equipped with a dwindling oxygen supply that can last only 96 hours. and within the past few hours, u.s. congressman brandon of new york tweeted that the u.s. navy should deploy a nuclear and the best sonar operators in the world. sean you mentioned the 90 6 hours of emergency oxygen. >> what is the average length of of any tours that they take down there? how long does that usually take before they, you know, return to the surface? well, we had an expert on earlier tonight who said they can get down to that wreck
